On 2^nd of September 2016 the 42th Chess Olympiad has started in Baku Crystal Hall . After the first move, which was made by President Ilham Aliyev,  at the same time by 885 players from 177 countries joined the game. Note that the games were held in Baku Crystal Hall until September 14th at 15:00. The daily results of games were broadcasted

 In addition, there are media zone for reporters, conference area, children's entertainment area, point of sale and exhibition of chess,  area for commenting games in 3 languages and a common sitting area in the press center of the Baku Crystal Hall
